Flip Text: Mirror and Restyle

Flip Text turns anything you type into styled text you can paste anywhere — upside down, mirrored, bubbles, small caps, glitch and more.

Type a word, pick a style, tap Copy. That is all there is to it. The result is ordinary text, so it keeps its look in bios, captions, comments, messages, usernames, nicknames and documents.

▸ WHY IT WORKS ANYWHERE

These are not fonts. Each character is swapped for a different, real Unicode character that happens to look flipped, mirrored or decorated. That is exactly why the result survives being pasted into other apps and keeps its shape — there is no font to install and no special keyboard to switch to.

People often call this fancy fonts, stylish fonts or cool fonts. Same idea, different mechanism — and because it is plain text underneath, it goes wherever plain text goes.

▸ WHERE PEOPLE USE IT

Social media bios and captions, chat messages, comments, game usernames and nicknames, group names, notes, and anywhere else that accepts typed text.

▸ GOOD TO KNOW

Two things are worth saying plainly, because they are how Unicode works rather than bugs:

• Most styles only have characters for the Latin alphabet. Text in Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Bengali will usually come back unchanged, because Unicode has no upside-down or circled forms for those scripts. Reverse, Scramble, Reverse word order and Glitch work with any script, because they do not substitute anything.

• Some characters will not display everywhere. Older phones, some websites and some fonts do not include every character these styles use, and draw an empty box instead. Nothing is wrong with your text — the app receiving it simply cannot draw that character.

Flip Text is also not a keyboard. It does not change text inside other apps. You style your text here, copy it, and paste it where you want it.

▸ PRIVACY

The text you type never leaves your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Your history is stored on your phone only, and is deliberately left out of Android backups, because the things people type into an app like this are often private. Everything the app does works with no connection at all.
